Vincent, with his Italian roots, and Yasmine, hailing from Iran, found common ground in their desire to honor tradition while embracing diversity. The focal point of their wedding ceremony was the Sofreh-ye Aghd, a low table adorned with symbolic elements rich in cultural significance. Originating from ancient Zoroastrian beliefs, which revered the four elements of nature—earth, fire, water, and air—the Sofreh represents the harmony of these elements in the union of marriage. Positioned facing east, where the sun rises, the Sofreh symbolizes hope and new beginnings as the couple gazes towards the light of their shared future. At the center of the Sofreh sits a mirror, reflecting the image of the bride and groom as they sit together, symbolizing the reflection of their souls intertwining. Surrounding the mirror are various items, each carrying its own symbolism: two candelabras representing the light of life, a tray of spices for a flavorful journey ahead, decorated eggs for fertility and new life, and fruits such as pomegranates and apples for prosperity and abundance. The couple’s choice of Tuscany as their wedding destination added another layer of magic to their special day. Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Prato Montemurlo, Villa Pazzi al Perugiano provided the perfect backdrop for their dream celebration—a true paradise on earth. Yasmine entrusted the meticulous planning of their wedding to Chiara Metefori, a dedicated wedding planner who ensured every detail was flawlessly executed. Meanwhile, Vincent found comfort in reconnecting with his Italian heritage, embracing the warmth, strong emotions, and sense of family that define Italian culture, especially when living far from home.
