ITALIAN WEDDING IN ROME .

Rome, the city of echoes, illusions, and desires, stands as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Its timeless allure and captivating charm make it the perfect location for a wedding. In this enchanting city, Maria Grazia and Lorenzo, a deeply in-love couple, chose to celebrate their union. Their wedding was a testament to the beauty and romance that Rome embodies.

A Dream Wedding in Villa Aurelia Maria Grazia and Lorenzo selected Villa Aurelia as the location for their wedding reception. This stunning villa is situated at the highest point of the Janiculum Hill, offering breathtaking views of Rome. Villa Aurelia has a rich history; it was built in 1650 by Cardinal Girolamo Farnese. Its elegant architecture and panoramic vistas provided an idyllic setting for the couple’s special day.

The Ceremony at Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo The wedding ceremony took place in the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo, also known as the Basilica of the Chandeliers. This basilica is one of the most beautiful churches in Rome, renowned for its stunning interiors and magnificent chandeliers that illuminate the sacred space. The grandeur and historical significance of the basilica added a layer of solemnity and elegance to the wedding ceremony.

The Celebration The wedding planning was expertly handled by Denise More, who ensured every detail was perfect. The floral arrangements were meticulously crafted by Petali Flowers, adding a touch of natural beauty to the already picturesque venue. The couple’s special moments were captured by the talented videographer Paolo Furente, while I had the honor of photographing the event, accompanied by my friend and colleague, Giacomo Brizzi.

Words from the Groom Lorenzo shared heartfelt words about their journey together: “True love is never a straight road, but a treacherous journey full of curves and obstacles. We met and chased each other, separated and reunited. Our love has survived distances and difficulties. We loved each other from afar, sometimes in secret, to avoid disturbing each other’s lives. “It all began almost eight years ago, on a very cold early winter morning, when a simple breakfast turned into the most overwhelming story ever lived. At that time, we were two strangers, each with our own lives and pasts. Time allowed us to get closer and closer until we became one; until we realized we couldn’t do without loving each other. We moved from Rome to Milan, passing through Turin and Verona. On the Bovolo staircase in Venice, on April 23, 2022, we decided to get married, and on June 23, 2024, we pledged eternal love in a beautiful church in the center of Rome on an early summer afternoon. “We will remember our wedding as the happiest day of our lives, where it felt like we were living in a dream. It was all incredibly emotional and extraordinarily romantic. We will remember Daniele as a wonderful person, a serious professional who allowed us to enjoy our most special day to the fullest. We felt close to him like a dear friend, and we felt all his affection in every single moment of the event. He put us at ease, and we never felt uncomfortable. Everything was very natural and never forced. Without him, it would not have been so wonderful.”

The Eternal City Rome, with its rich history, stunning architecture, and romantic ambiance, remains an ideal city for weddings. It offers couples a unique blend of ancient charm and modern elegance. The city’s picturesque landscapes and historical landmarks provide a perfect backdrop for capturing unforgettable moments. Whether it’s the grandeur of ancient ruins, the serenity of beautiful gardens, or the splendor of majestic churches, Rome has it all.
